This is such a jodeen gem of a place and is literally like stepping back in time. It's great for everyone to see the history on our doorstep and notice the mix of old and new just off Crompton Way. It's great for school children to see what they are learning in topics at school about the mill industry. Such a beautiful little hamlet! Well worth a visit, but of course be respectful to the owners of the homes there as they are all...

10 Firwood Fold is a 16th-century house in Bolton, Greater Manchester (grid reference SD73171109). It is a Grade I listed building and the birthplace of Samuel Crompton in 1753.
