Nestling between the road and river, Dumsey Meadows is a SSSI and grazing land. I walk there with an on lead reactive dog as it is fairly quiet, interesting sniffs with good visibility to keep a safe distance from others. There are 2 small car parks with 1st hour free, rubbish bin and poo bin. But 3 stars only because 1. Sadly despite clear signage to keep dogs on leads, owners and dog walkers with multiple dogs let them run off lead. 2. Also there is a disappointing amount of poo not picked up which considering it's grazing for cattle is really unacceptable as both dogs and cattle can get nasty parasitic illnesses such as neosporosis.

Perfect for a swim in the river or walk along the bank. Plenty of easy entry points along the bank and also on the other side of the Thames opposite the meadow. Very popular so getting there early is recommended for sunny days. No amenities other than 2 very limited space car parks. Would be a 5 star if it had more parking.

Beautiful spot with scenic view of river. Cozy pubs nearby (Kingfisher and The Bridge) for those keen for a drink or some food.

Lovely spot to swim and chill by the river. Our visit was unfortunately somewhat spoiled by 4 idiots in charge of 4 ponies. These guys decided to rough handle the ponies into the water right next to families with dogs and small babies. Never seen anything so stupid and careless in all my life. The ponies left copious amounts of horse poo right best to the families and in the river literally 3 metres from where small children were swimming. Twice they lost control of the ponies who were allowed to run free around children. They then proceeded to wash the poor horses with dish washing detergent!!! I...
