If I could have given 0 stars I would have. Arrived with my 1year old son. Went upstairs to the designated area for young children 0-4. There was a member of staff oblivious as children as old as 8years old were running around through the babies and toddlers, hanging off the top of the nets and dropping down, screaming, shouting, jumping over the babies, running in and out of the area leaving the gate open and basically acting dangerously in the baby area. The parents were laughing at the children and not stopping the children. Two families had to leave as it was "ridiculous up here. Someone's going to get hurt".
Forward on to downstairs at reception where I explained what I had seen and that this was the third time this thing had happened at kidabulous and each time I'd had to leave as the staff where oblivious to safety upstairs. I asked for a refund. The young man behind the counter said "I'll ask my manager but she'll say no". I said I wanted to speak with her. After asking numerous times he finally got her for me. Again I explained situation to her. The entire time the young man and another staff member talked over me and the manager, they were answering for the manager and interrupting me. I kept directing my conversation at the manager but the two young staff members continued to interrupt and answer. So I finally asked them to stop and that I wanted to talk to just the person incharge, the manager. They finally stopped. I asked the manager to find someone to go upstairs and ask the older children to leave and go downstairs to the appropriate softplay area for their age group. The young staff interrupted again saying "it's a softplay, children are meant to be running around". I answered "not in that way! Not as older children in the baby section where they're meant to be safe. Not where my baby could be squashed or fallen on. And there is an area just for the older kids". Plus again I replied this to manager saying "I find it very rude that your staff are interrupting you and answering for you. Are you not the manager?"
Her response was "I will go upstairs with you and see what I can do but nowhere in our rules does it say that upstairs is only for children under 4" I laughed and pointed to the huge sign that says [area for 0-4 years only]. She responded that they can if they're siblings. I asked for a refund. She said no. She came upstairs. Nothing changed. The older children continued to be dangerous and the staff remained oblivious.
I left straight away. I was not going to put my baby son in danger of being trodden on, fallen on or hurt in anyway. The staff were rude and obnoxious.
Lastly there was a child who was clearly very unwell there. The day after our short visit my baby was being violently sick and bad diarrhea and then we all got it here at the house. So Kidabulous also lets in clearly unwell children, allowing other children to get sick
Update- I see someone at Kidabulous has replied to my review. But notice they didn't respond to how ill my child was when we were home. I've heard SO many people say the same thing. They have all said they will avoid this place. Another person I met at a different soft play said they too had to take their kid to a+e for sickness and diarrhea after going there. As it's run by primarily teenagers I very much doubt they keep the place clean and disinfect regularly. Place needs shutting down, deep cleaned...
Read moreMe and my husband took our son here today and what was suppose to be a nice family time turned into waste of money and disappointment.i read the reviews before going so decided we will pay more for peak hours charge and go early so maybe it won't be crowded.we enter the venue and it was packed downstairs and the staff member serving only bothered telling us about the 2 hour time after we paid,no hello etc.we go upstairs only a few families which was great.all of us were keeping some what a safe distance but half an hour in and i see someone walk in with a baby both wearing muddy shoes and just casually going around on slide etc.i am not one to complain but i am sorry while the rest of us are wearing socks and following rules where is the staff? I went to the counter and interupted the 2 staff members who were enjoying their drinks, phones and a casual catch up sitting down.i inform them there is someone in there with shoes etc the response was eeehhh ok yeah i will come..few minutes later the staff member is still standing outside as if the person will come to them so once again i went to them and said they have managed to take off their muddy shoes after going around everywhere and have left them there she proceeds to say ok and just goes behind the counter.if this is not ridiculous enough by now the place is getting crowded with more families but no no as if the floor downstairs is not big enough, grown kids have come upstairs and are everywhere no regard for little babies and toddlers.the area for toddlers is already small and this makes it even more difficult and unsafe but don't worry the staff members are perfectly fine socializing behind the counter!! We decided to leave with our son 1 hour into our time because clearly no one is following rules, grown kids are upstairs, more than half the parents not wearing masks, social distancing non existent, there were sick babies as well as an adult and i am just mentioning the ones with visible symptoms.the venue was crowded and rules weren't being followed.why would we pay ridiculous fee to go into the venue for such an experience.safe to say i gave my son a shower as soon as we got home and will not be going here again.if your paying your staff to just socialize then great they deserve a pay rise!! I don't recommend going...
Read moreWe visited recently and we don't live nearby but we were picking my son up from a sports camp nearby. We arrived and there is very little parking concidering how many people they let in, which was alot. More people than is safe for the current circumstances. They said there was a 90 Min limit due to it being busy but I was told a time I'd have to leave by or given a wrist band. We only stayed an hour as I couldn't take anymore unwatched kids causing my kid to be uspet at one point injuring her. We went up stairs at the start to the smaller area which was nice and slightly quieter. But as she is almost 3 got a little bored so we attempted downstairs, we stayed with her at all times but kids with absolutely no care for others pushing and shoving other kids out the way. We tried to use the electronic cars which you pay a pound for but 4 kids where inside just pushing them around, and ignoring me clearly standing waiting, no staff watch this area and no one watching their kids apparently doing something they shouldn't be. I asked one set of kids if we could please use one after a few minutes and as we were getting on the other 2 (one pushing one sitting ont the car) ploughed into my car just after I put my daughter on and when I was about to the money in, she was thrown forward and off the car and was hurt and scared so began crying. The young girl on the car who crashed into us then said you should be standing on the track! Erm!! We are trying to get into a car and actually pay to use it! How else was I mean to be getting into the car?? We left that area. And soon left the actual building as we couldn't handle anymore! Won't be returning and glad it's not my local soft play. Staff need improvement on customer service and manager needs to actually help and teach staff how to fix a problem rather than doing it for them and walking off. Far to many people and the 90 mins wasn't checked or mainted by staff as no bands used like in...
