What a refreshingly interesting venue to spend a few hours.
My friend & I had a good look round & booked in for the 18 hole crazy golf ⛳ and a 3:10pm slot for the 10 pin bowling 🎳 We got ourselves a drink 🍻 & watched some of the Curling 🥌 whilst keeping an eye on the golf queue (you can have your drink in the queue, but not allowed to take it through to the course). The golf was really good, some very interesting and entertaining holes. We had such a good laugh - despite me losing, miserably 😂⛳
We headed to Blooms & Co. for some lunch 🧀🥖🥙🥗🍻 and then onto the bowling 🎳, where we were able to get on a lane ahead of our allotted time - perfect.
The place itself is very eye catching, it is exceptionally clean (support staff always visible tidying up). All the staff we encountered were very pleasant and helpful. They all seemed to have real pride in their job - which shone through, they are a credit to the place and certainly make you feel very welcome.
There's a real good mix of things to do, but not only for those physically taking part. You can actually just sit and have drinks &/or snacks whilst watching all kinds of activities, so even if you weren't taking part yourself, there is still plenty to keep you entertained.
Some of the games / facilities seem a little on the pricey side, so you could end up spending quite a lot of money, but the golf was extremely good value. The food was good and not overly expensive.
We will absolutely be back, and next time we want to try the Curling 🥌 and the dart simulator 🎯 to name just 2.
We also treated ourselves to a couple of WASGIJ? jigsaws as we found them to be fairly reasonably priced! The shop is full of all kinds of interesting games, from old fashioned garden games, to the new & modern board games etc.
I think the place will do really well and I hope the owners keep hold of the decent staff and take care over the physical appearance of the place as it's a...
Read moreA beautiful entertainment centre. A real treat for all the senses. Really came into its own on my latest run up to Easter visit. Lots of the facilities under one roof in use but still room for more. I've tried some of the games but the biggest draw for me is the superbly self indulgent stylish miniplex cinema. Three screens. Yes, it's pricier than some but worth every penny. The plush sofa like seats are well spaced, with side tables, and as a one time occasional film reviewer, accustomed to having an entire screen to myself, back in the day, I absolutely love it. It's intimate but spacious too. I took an 89 year old superfan of Andre Rieu to see his 75th big screen birthday celebrations there - she's also hard of hearing so I chose two front row seats which came with cushions for back or neck and even a foot stool. It was a great experience - even for one who hasn't sat at the front since the Saturday cinema days of childhood. My neighbour loved it. Knocked spots off her usual Sky Arts viewing Rieu marathons. The front of house team are lovely here, too. The only thing I didn't like, amidst the trailers, was a dizzying drone's eye view at super fast speed, of all the facilities at the centre. It went on far too long but because of the colours and speed it triggered, in me, a feeling not unlike vertigo. To think I used to love white knuckle rides... Finally, apologies for using the gents side of the toilets but there was a queue. And they are just as nice as the women's loos opposite. And, besides, having watched the flying Dutchman until the intermission I'd gone quite...

We've been to the Flower Bowl since opening, and have been often impressed with its offerings. The decor is second to none, and the quirky styling is certainly memorable.
The place as a whole is priced at a premium, especially bowling. We do love bowling every now and again, but have found ourselves paying a fair bit of money for two games.
The crazy golf was great when we did it a few years back, and I'd definitely recommend that for families. The crazy pool is actually really hard, but again is a great activity for kids.
The restaurant wasn't great when we visited, due to wait times, but the food overall was pretty good when it did arrive. I'd say the restaurant is an addition to the entertainment complex, and not somewhere we'd visit on it's own - it's part of the day.
The cinema prides comfort over visuals and audio. The cinema is probably the most comfy I've ever been to, and certainly looks cool, but is quite pricey when you look at the screen sizing. I suppose it depends on what you prefer when going to the cinema. Personally, I'd much rather go to the amazing IMAX for an extra £2pp than the Flower Bowl.
I've never curled at the Flower Bowl, so can't review their facilities on this, but I must say they're well reviewed and look fantastic.
Overall, the place is a spectacular day out venue with amazing styling, but is overpriced for...
