Shipley Glen — Attraction in Bradford

A beautiful area of Baildon moors always kepts clean and tidy by the locals. This is a wonderful place to bring the kids for a run around on the wide open area at the top on a sunny day, make sure to dress up warm if it's windy however. Or you can take one of the many paths down into the forest and scramble on the rocks or see the resivoir. There is a local pub and small coffee shop at the top as well as a 5 minute walk away the historic Shipley...

Excellent place for a good walk, & walking your dog's too. Seems quite endless, good forest so ideal shade in hot weather, with a nice stream at the bottom, quite a hill to get to top of Shipley glen where you can have a nice picnic. This is close to road near the top so children & animals need close eye but room enough to play. Nice little cafe nearby & Bracken Hall Countryside Centre and Museum is a children's museum, natural history...

Wooded valley with many pathways and stream down the middle. Could probably go back several times before exploring the whole Glen. Busy but not surprising as on the doorstep of a number of towns north of Bradford. Lots of Oaks and silver birch trees and a small resivour toward the end of the woods. Recommend decent walking or welly boots as muddy. Also quite rock with lots of exposed limestone. Would recommend if...
