Wow, I'm a bit speechless when it comes to the experience we had visiting the Coggeshall museum, but let me give it a try...

Our family name is Coggeshall and in researching our ancestry we found the town of Coggeshall in the UK. We contacted the museum to see if we could visit and learn more. The volunteers at the museum truly made our entire trip by creating such an amazing experience for us.

The town & museum are small but the history and interesting amount of things to learn are vast!

The museum itself is packed with information and relics of the town from generations back. We had an entire day planned for us by the volunteers and really couldn't have had a better day. We loved learning about the town, hearing all the unique stories, and were so appreciative to have all our questions eagerly answered.

We had such an amazing time and truly cannot thank the museum volunteers enough for creating such a special day for my dad and our family. We'll remember it forever!

For anyone interested in local history or with the Coggeshall name, I highly recommend visiting the town & the museum is a must see when there.

Thank you Nic, Bob, & Dudley for an unforgettable experience.

P.S. The coffee shop & lunch spot recommended to us were both fabulous!

P.P.S We did a day trip from London but easily could have stayed overnight to explore...

The ABSOLUTE BEST! Our family took a trip to Coggeshall, one of my dad's bucket list trips. Prior to going,I reached out th the Museum to let them know the Coggeshall family from the USA would like to visit the museum. Well we were treated like ROYALTY!! Dudley and Nic picked us up from the train and, along with Bob, spent the ENTIRE day with us visiting all the points of interest, Coggeshall museum, Coggeshall Abbey, Coggeshall Town, Coggeshall Grange Hall. There are NO words to express our appreciation to the museum Board for just going above and beyond to give the experience of a lifetime. The Museum is a treasure!!! Amazing the collection they have. I could go on and on on how lucky we were to meet these wonderful people! Shout out to Nic, Bob and...
