Coggeshall Spice — Restaurant in Braintree

Over two hours late, food was stone cold. Prawns were raw, mushy and the pappadoms tasted like dirty old oil. The naan was burnt cold and no Flavour. Rang up to let them know and told because I was nice like the owner (don’t know what that has to do with anything) we were going to be offered another meal right now (it’s already 10pm and we need to go To bed) or a free meal next time and cut off real quickly as they’re busy. We never want to eat there again. We’ve been out all day and craving this since 7am, only to be so disappointed, grossed out and a bit worried about food poisoning from those prawns. I ordered the foods from them through JustEat delivery. 1x pilau rice for my partner & 1x coconut rice for me… I received two of coconut rice, my partner couldn’t eat coconut, so I’ve called them through NGT app (I am deaf, cant hear over the phone) when they realise I’m deaf and use the app to speak to them, they were like “oh.. can you call us later as we’re very busy” they didn’t let me said anything at all, soI interrupt quickly explaining that they gave me the wrong rice, they apologised and said will send me the right one in 10/15 mins… still nothing from the driver. I called back, they hung up. Will never order...

Ordered a meal for 3 people over the phone and when I went to collect it, good job I checked it first. They had missed one of the main courses off. They blamed the noise from the restaurant. Quickly prepared the missing meal and offered a free drink whilst I waited. I had been putting off ordering from here because of mixed online reviews. The service was very friendly and good, shame I cant say the same about the food. Of the 3 dishes we ordered, one said it was tasty. One was neutral and the 3rd hardly touched the meal because the amount of water that was coming out of the sauce. So overall not a very...
