Unfortunately only stayed in the water for 10mins as it was full of Jellyfish! Not sure if always like this as no-one else has mentioned and I know it is obviously sea water so loads of seaweed (which is okay) and Jellyfish I guess is normal too, just didn't expect it so had to jump out! A little boy was going round with a net collecting them and caught about 20 in less than 2hrs! I'm told they can't hurt you but still think people should be aware nonetheless. Regardless of this though we did have a lovely day in the beautiful weather sunbathing on the sun loungers you can rent for £4 right next to the sea and beautiful scenery. Read moreOk this place is epic! Coming on holiday to Brixham was lovely and this pool topped it off. Having not been in the sea all day, we decided to go in late evening, near high tide. The changing rooms were still open, so this made changing much easier. Of course it was freezing so wet suits definitely come in handy! But being here was an incredible experience, because although you're in a safe contained area, you still feel like you're in the sea! The waves were crashing in, just like a normal current (only recommend strong swimmers going at high tide). Operate in a 'voluntary donation' of £3.50 per adult or £8.00 as a family. Bargain if you ask me. Life guards on duty. Small friendly gift shop. Cafe nearby to get a warm drink afterwards. Carpark and toilet facilities nearby. Outside showers to wash sea water off. Cubicles to get changed in and out of wet clothes. Steps up to these are steep if you have limited mobility.
