Visited here after 5pm so the National Trust carpark and facilities were closed. Access to the hills and woodlands is 24 hours, so many other cars were just parked to the side of the road. I found an alternative free car park less than a mile away. There is also one at Walton Hill which also included road parking and was free. I started the journey up to the top of the first hill. The main paths are generally solid gravel type and easy to navigate. I generally followed the red route with some detours here and there where it looked particularly interesting. I would say it is probably simpler to start off and finish in the main National Trust carpark if possible. Along the way there are some stunning panoramic views of the surrounding area. There are a few steep climbs, nothing too major though. I spent around 90 minutes following the outer trails and visiting the main points of interest. You could easily spend 4 hours+ here completing all the trails. Definitely...

Absolutely love this place! It had a very good view at the highest points! Definitely recommend taking the family for a walk up here! There is a car park and a little cafe with toilets at the beginning of the walk. Bear in mind there’s no toilets dotted around so you will need to take the opportunity to visit the toilets before 5 o’clock when it closes. There is also a side road you can park on if you wanted to leave later than five. A beautiful views! Absolutely...
