On 18/2/25 me and my partner came to visit from Startford on Avon to have a walk on the hill. While we were about to go home we see a bunch of people in fancy dress with musical instrument, I asked to one of them what was going on and they introduce me to the wassail, been Italian I never heard about this and I was very intrigued about the story and the meaning of the wassail. We stayed for the whole event and it was really amazing. Everyone was so welcoming and they make us feel like part of the village they even make me dance with them and make me a lovely ivy crown, it was really a great experience and from now on we willl go every year! I love to make new experience and to know and be part of the traditions and cuture of this geat nation that now I call home and I will never thanks enough the lovely lovely lovely (yeah 3 times😁) people from the near villages that make us feel welcome and at home. After the dancing we walked to the orchard making a lot of noise to send away the negative spirits and we watched a lovely comedy. The cherry on top was the hot cider offered by the volunteer, perfect ending for a cold day. This is not a review but a big huge THANKS from me and my partner to everyone that make this possible and for the lovely atmosphere, you lot have transformed a normal average Saturday afternoon in a day that we will never forget for the rest of our life. We will meat again to the next Wassail. Much love from Luca&Aimee WASSAIL! DRINK ALE! ❤️

Desperately needs the cafe updating, cash only in this day and age is ridiculous, found £3 in the car and practically had to plead with them to get my daughter a bit of cheese on toast, toast was 90p but if they add cheese on it, it were £4.90,

I suggested can they just put half the cheese on? Or one piece of toast? £3 worth? it was like I were speaking foreign.

This is for a little girl that was hungry,

Finally got somewhere, waited 20 mins for cold toasted bread no butter and a sprinkle of chese,

Now because they helped a bit I kinda feel I shouldn't say anything but the whole thing just kinda annoyed my visit,

Now had they have accepted card I'd have bought me and the Mrs a meal too a coffee and maybe a cake...

Nice little place but the canned drinks that aren't diet are more expensive than the price displayed, when I queried it the lady behind the counter had a bit of an attitude, explaining they were 20p per can more because of the sugar tax. She offered to swap them for diet versions but they contain Aspartame which I don't want the kids to have, so I said no thankyou. She then said she'd refund the ,20p as 'you're ( I've) obviously got an issue with it!' I said no it doesn't matter put it in the charity box, but actually I've bought 4 cans. She then got stroppy, opened the till n gave me the 80p and tutted. I just said I was just querying the lack of signage. Other than this small issue its a lovely family n dog...
