If you’ve ever wanted to lock eyes with a meerkat while contemplating life’s big questions, Cedars Nature Centre is your kind of place.

Tucked inside the lovely Cedars Park, this mini-zoo is like the TARDIS of wildlife — small on the outside, full of surprises inside. One moment you’re peering at a sleepy owl, the next you're face-to-face with a skunk who looks like it knows your secrets.

The staff are absolute legends — funny, friendly, and wildly enthusiastic about their animals (honestly, ask them anything and prepare to be amazed). The place has a real personal touch, and you can tell the animals are treated like royalty.

There are also up-close encounters that’ll turn any sceptic into a full-blown animal whisperer. Petting a giant African land snail wasn’t on my bucket list… but now I highly recommend it.

Best of all? It’s only £2.40 to enter and the kids got in free with a leaflet a kind gentleman was handing out around the park, Though after your visit, you'll probably want to donate just to say thanks for the serotonin boost.

In short: Cedars Nature Centre is small, mighty, and full of character — a five-star experience with fur, feathers, and just the right...

Highly recommend ! Went last week for the meerkat experience Absolutely loved it Although only a small centre they had a few things we'd never seen before like very vocal kookaburras and a skunk The keepers were all very helpful and knowledgeable about the animals and stood with us telling us all about them General entry to the centre is only £2 and the meerkat experience was £30 per person The meerkat experience was great You spend 30 mins inside their enclosure with them and the keeper They are very friendly and inquisitive and climb all over you and at the end you get to feed them a bowl of vegetables There are several animal talks during the day that are free so there is always something going on Outside of the centre in the park is a cafe which we went to and had lunch Will definitely...

I took my sons (20 and 12) to Cedars Nature Centre for a Meerkat Experience today. I can not recommend this venue and Experience highly enough. It was complete value for money (half the price of every other venue I looked at) The communication was amazing from the very beginning and the whole booking process was so easy. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The Experience itself was exactly what I hoped it would be. Connor our ranger was so knowledgeable and engaging. I literally could not fault 1 single thing. My son said it was perfect and he couldn't of wished for anything better for his birthday and my other son has asked to go back for...
