A lovely place to have fun on a warm sunny day! Trust me, I'm not joking! Pirate park is excellent for children (roughly 3-12) to play in and have fun. Different parts of the playground designed for different ages! The big field is green, grassy and great overall! Ball-friendly There are a few picnic tables - wonderful! Toilets available - very convenient especially for children. Parking is a bit limited but not bad. Walking there would be nice though as the surroundings are excellent - Castle, sea, park, shops, etc. Certainly family-friendly - you cannot argue against that! Some wonderful shops nearby including Mauds, an ice cream shop that is conveniently positioned near the play park and field. Who doesn't love a refreshing ice-cream after playing in the sun having lots of fun! Some buildings nearby if it rains and you are not willing to leave for whatever reason! Do not blame Marine Gardens for the bad weather though!
So, overall, Marine Gardens is an excellent outdoor area that has something fo everyone to do! Highly recommended to visit regularly especially in spring/summer if you live nearby! I wish I could give it 6-stars! :)
