GOOD MUSEUM! If you've rolled into town like me not knowing a thing about Carrickfergus, this museum is a good educator of the town's history. The museum looks like it charges money, but it's free to go inside. Lots of artefacts and displays showing you the history of the town. It's part of a larger civic building with a coffee shop and an art gallery, so it's worth checking out.

Pathetic. Takes all of 5 mins of your time to walk round the exhibits. With the history Carrickfergus has behind it is sad that this is not used to make it a huge tourist attraction. Unfortunately our council members do nothing to promote this asset, instead they are slowly draining the town of shops and museums with extortionate...

A small but very well presented museum which houses a number of artifacts and memorabilia from the Carrickfergus area. Well worth a visit, and an easy way to spend an hour or more, learning about the town's history, and about the influential people of the past who's names we see everyday, on local...
