Excellent afternoon tea! We were hoping for some afternoon tea after visiting the castle and this restaurant popped up on Google reviews. The owners whipped up the most amazing high tea in ten minutes, even though we didn't have a reservation and they usually require one. Cannot recommend the berry scone enough- seriously, this scone haunts my dreams- THE BEST SCONE we've ever had! All the little sandwiches and wraps were yummy and the other treats were delicious. We were so full after tea that we didn't even need dinner, lol. The owners were so kind and friendly. So inexpensive for top notch food. THANK YOU!

The Clock Tower Cafe is in a great spot. It has great tea and coffee choices, nice comfortable indoor seating, lots of outdoor seating. It serves sweet and savoury treats, ice cream and hot and cold beverages. A nice break after a stroll along the promenade. Also at £4 for a decaf latte and a pot of tea ... it's very reasonably priced.

Great coffee shop and cafe located by the sea in Marine Gardens, Carrickfergus. I got a lovely latte and sausage bap to eat out in the gardens. There's plenty of space and places to sit in Marine Gardens. The whole location is very dog friendly.

If you want an establishment that is convenient, inviting, reasonably priced and has delicious, home-made fayre ( and totally accessible for the disabled worth handy toilet facilities round the corner!! ) you can't do better than the Clock Tower café. The food is cooked the way you want it, you can sit outside or in, and is handy to Marine Gardens and the Pirate Ship parks and the famous Norman castle. If you want time to yourself in peace and quiet, or fancy a good chat with the proprietor you can have either. Tea and coffee are quality as is the food and the staff cannot do enough to help you. It's rare to find an establishment that is consistent in service, quality and standard but The Clock Tower café is just that. I encourage you to come try it next time you're in Carrickfergus. You won't be...
