Skewen Park — Attraction in Coedffranc

The park is generally well maintained, with new plants added every few months as needed. However, the playground tends to be old and is prone to flooding. Additionally, the football area is in a state of disrepair and could benefit from both cosmetic and practical maintenance.

Upon entry, there are quite a few signs, which can make the rules slightly confusing. I personally find the park's opening and closing times inconvenient, especially since they seem to change depending on the time of year.

I'm uncertain about the park's dog policy, but I've noticed an overwhelming number of badly behaved dogs whose owners often fail to leash them. This can lead to frequent instances of aggression, which is concerning.

The amenities for a local community park are quite good. There is a small play area for young children, a lido, a small BMX track, and a skateboard area. It's fairly big so good for dog walking. However in the winter it could be left open longer and lighting provided along the paths, currently it closes at sunset so in the winter the gates are locked for most of the day. The main hard path through the trees, one of the most used paths, is also dangerous due to a lack of maintenance work for years with tree roots exposed through the concrete. Lovely park, plenty of roadside parking and very easily accessed by all. The grounds are beautiful and clearly very proudly maintained. There are public toilets in the center next to the children's play area which has just been refitted and an excellent job too! Really glad they kept the slide (everyone should have a go!) There's a well maintained outdoor pool which is nice and shallow perfect for the children to splash about in on a hot day.
