To cut a Short story long, I travelled to this place just to try some new items on the menu everyone was raving about, had an incredibly positive experience with the staff which around here isnt normal, they almost made us feel like family. The food did not dissapoint, a far deeper flavour profile without extreme heat, sides were perfect, they served real coca cola cold and the most spectacular main iv ever had at any indian restaurant, call it whatever you like but its a revelation; the keema naan pizza. *mic drop*

Had food tonight, everybody raving About zafron, I has special balti, was very bitter and sour, I asked for naga hot It was like soup abd sour. Spicey chips, literally chips raw onions couple of chilles and ketchup. Kema rice dry, no taste of anything. Chillie garlic rice. Garlic flavour nice no chillie spice, absolutely very disappointed, reminded me of my used to be regular where I live but it was worst than that! Shocking, will not return.

Sunday buffet was great. All the dishes were freshly topped up, and the ones I sampled were rich and flavoursome, with tender pieces of meat. The staff seemed to have been caught out by how busy it was, with a little congestion at times waiting for drinks or plates at the buffet... but they were extremely helpful and friendly, and did their best to keep everyone happy. Highly recommended.

Just left after the most awful experience ever at Zafran in Skewen. Arrived at 6:30pm for a pre booked table for 14 for my mother's birthday meal. As so many we decided to split the cheques down into the separate parties paying. Took 30 minutes for drink orders to arrive which were incomplete.. diet cokes were flat and had to prompt to take meal orders. Starters arrived 30 minutes after with things coming out in drips and drabs, with my mother only receiving her starters once everyone else had finished theirs. Main meals, where do I start!! Orders were brought out incomplete, people receiving chips after they had finished their mains, dishes sent back due to being cold and then mine and my partners meal arriving after everyone had recieved theirs and the majority finished at 8:40pm... so much so due to work commitments we had to have as a take away. Upon paying the bill and raising our concerns the gentleman said they had a problem with the chef having to leave due to an emergency (despite various other tables seated after us receiving their drinks, starters and mains and leaving happily before us) and as we had our food as a take away he was willing to take £6 off our £36 bill. Absolutely...

Very disappointing meal 😔 Myself and my husband had a meal here this evening having read reviews online. We had starters.......a Prawn Puri and an Onion Bhaji with a Chutney Tray and Poppadoms, which were okay...although not the best that we've had! Our main courses were Lamb Bhuna and Goa Chicken with Garlic Naan Bread. The meat (supposedly lamb) in the Lamb Bhuna consisted of 90% fat, and was totally inedible.....the sauce didn't even taste like Bhuna! The Goa Chicken resembled more of a Vindaloo.........WAY hotter than the conventional Goan sauce that I have had previously on many occasions (meant to be more sweet and sour) Again totally inedible, and everything returned to the kitchen practically untouched! Naan bread undercooked and doughy! Extremely poor meal and a waste of £42. When my husband mentioned to the waiter that the meat in the Bhuna was inedible, he was told that the chef liked to use fatty lamb in his curries 🙈 What can you say 🤔 I have given a 2* star rating as the Onion Bhaji was okay and our waiter was very pleasant! Seriously....Don't...

This restaurant was booked for a family get together, and it was the "eat all you can tolerate" during lunchtime.

There's a few choices of curries and sides, that are refilled pretty frequently by the friendly staff.

They've put out individual spoons for each choice to help prevent cross-contamination, but some people still can't get their heads around that concept and wield the spoons without due forethought. This can make for interesting new taste combinations as the sauces combine into something new and unholy.

The food was well prepared, but not exceptional. The rest of the table really thought it was enjoyable though, so maybe I missed something.

For a family meal, the "all you can eat" is a great choice and everyone will find something they like. But I wouldn't book here for a romantic evening for two (or three if that's...
