Small but extremely picturesque National Trust Property. Bourne Mill is a 16th Century building, set alongside a large pond. Its grounds may not be large, but they are charming nonetheless. The outdoor sitting area provides an excellent place to stop for a cup of tea or coffee, next to the pond. The mill itself provides an excellent glimpse into the local happenings during Elizabethan times, and the working water wheel is a sight worth seeing. On a nice day, this place also provides plenty of photo opportunities.

Very beautiful mill shame it was not open, the gate had a padlock n chain on it and the opening times had been scribbled off, the mill itself is still visable from a public footpath and there's a footpath/woodland walk/brook that runs in the opposite direction just the past the mill, would love to visit, it is not open (Jan 2022) sadly, no explanation given, nothing on the website either! Would love to visit properly

Small place and not open all the time. Car park has space for about 3 cars, so gives you a guide of how busy it usually gets! (You can however park just down the road if need to!) With all that said its a random little visit of a place situated in an area you perhaps wouldn't expect. Its actually fairly peaceful considering its location!!
