We visited this restaurant as a group of four and had an absolutely delightful experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance between comfort and style. The staff were genuinely welcoming and attentive without being intrusive, which made us feel well looked after throughout the evening. The menu offered an impressive range of dishes, each thoughtfully crafted and beautifully presented. Every plate was full of flavour and made with fresh, ingredients. The attention to detail in both taste and presentation was remarkable. Between us we tried a variety of starters, mains, and desserts, and not one of us could find a single fault. The pacing of the meal was excellent, allowing us to savour each course and enjoy our conversation without feeling rushed. Overall, this restaurant delivered on every level: food, service, and ambience. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening that left us all talking about when we could return. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a dining experience that feels both special and welcoming.

I recently had dinner at Britannia Gurkha Restaurant & bar with my wife. We enjoyed the Nepalese Gurkha Curry. The entire experience was amazing here. Retired Gurkha family who runs this place are very welcoming and respectful. After dinner we also had few drinks which was also good. You can see lots of traditional tools that are used in Nepalese and Gurkha community back in Nepal. If you are interested in Gurkhas history and present status, you can talk to Umesh. Overall, amazing place

Outstanding food! Even the basics, naan and rice, were the best I’ve ever had 😍 We had chicken and mutton curries and they were so flavoursome, ample portions for 2 too - we even had leftovers to take home! Friendly staff and a comfortable atmosphere. The 3-course set menu for £22 each is reasonable and I definitely recommend a visit!

Always a set menu, though the main dishes can be lamb, beef, chicken or goat. There is always a dish of dhal and one of vegetables. Customers can specify if they would prefer just a vegetarian menu or just one of the meat options. The price is a set one also, which makes everything very straightforward. The staff are very pleasant and helpful. Some have been there since the Ghurka restaurant started. As well as lager there is always a well kept draught beer on. You can just have a drink in the pub side of the Ghurka if you wish, or in the courtyard or garden. There is a large car park at the side of the restaurant. If necessary you may be able to access the pub and restaurant through the courtyard gates, but check first. There are quite deep steps up to the doors, though there are railings on either side of the steps up to the restaurant if you choose to enter from outside rather...

Visited this restaurant while visiting the area. Read reviews thought it sounded amazing. We were ushered to our seats asked what we wanted to drink before we sat down. Dishes started arriving before we knew it, were not informed of how it worker untill I asked. We would have left and gone elsewhere if we weren't so hungry. The food was mediocre at best we did not enjoy the experience at all. Asked for a second coke waited ages once reminded the waitress took a half filled glass from under the counter and the man behind the bar topped it up from another glass that had been sitting there. When I asked was it fresh she said yes I told her what I saw she went and got a fresh glass reluctantly. We could not Wait to leave and go to the supermarket and get some snacks. I reluctantly paid without making too much fuss just wanted to get out. Can not understand the...
