Visited today with my daughter, son in law and young grandson. Wow, what a fabulous place. Lovely reconstructions of shop fronts on top of all the beautiful displays of vintage transport. Car enthusiasts, motorbike enthusiasts and even train enthusiasts are all catered for with the varied selection of vintage transport. I wasn't sure my grandson would be interested in the museum, but how wrong I was. From climbing up to the open top of a bus, to assisting with a fire hose from an old fire engine, his enjoyment was clearly shown by big beaming smiles. There were interactive buttons to be pushed and he especially loved sending the model trains around the huge model railway display room. We decided to have our lunch in the upstairs cafe. Very yummy food, very helpful staff and prices that were exceedingly cheap compared to other venues we have visited in the area. The entrance tickets last for a whole year so return trips can be made, just in case you missed something on your first visit or just want another trip down memory lane. The staff are all volunteers and so helpful and full of knowledge. A BIG thank you to all involved in the museum. We will certainly return and recommend the museum to...

Fantastic day out great museum family ticket was only £18 2 adults 2 children or 1 adult and 3 children. The tickets you buy are valid for a year so you can return as many times as you like. Adults £8 Children £4 (5-18) Seniors £7.Great value lots to see and do also the kids get to do a treasure hunt which they all enjoyed. There is a great cafe onsite food hygiene rating of 5. There food especially there homemade cakes are out of this world ( carrot cake and bread pudding ). There veichles you can you and go on especially the bus and coach. There is disabled access here as well it's very well thought out the staff are very friendly and extremely helpful and they are always on hand to answer your questions about the veichles. There is lots to say about this museum but you have to visit just follow the signs from A2 Whitfield roundabout. Museum only open on Saturday, Sunday and Wednesday check there website for more information....

Brilliant museum with lots more to see than I'd expected. There are classic cars, buses, trucks and a couple of historic railway locomotives outside, but the real highlight was the outstanding collection of motorcycles. The layout was excellent, with recreated shops and motorcycle dealers, making for a really immersive experience. There were also large collections of model cars and ships, and a large model railway layout. The volunteers were very knowledgeable and helpful and pointed out some of the highlights. There's a little café and toilets in the museum building, gift shop at the entrance, and a reasonable sized parking area. It was great to see the workshop machinery actually operating in the outbuilding. The museum is open on Wednesdays and Sundays throughout the year. Entrance tickets provide admission for a year from the date...

My family and I visited back in November and again today, as initial entrance fee is valid for the entire year. This is excellent value for money, and the volunteers have done an amazing job to make this place look great. My 2 year old daughter absolutely loves this place. Even if your not particularly into motor vehicles, this museum is still an absolute gem. The museum displays include vehicles of all kinds, shops which you actually walk into and upstairs. Our favourite sections were being allowed upstairs on the double decker tour bus, model railway (which is huge) and when it's available- using the fire engine hose to knock down targets! Well done to all the volunteers that make this place such a great day out.
