The Rajmahal Tandoori Restaurant — Restaurant in Dover

I came to this restaurant, whilst I was on a Business trip to the Area. Was staying at a nearby Hotel so it was only a short walk away. I do dine in a lot of Indian restaurants up and down the Country, however this is as far south east coast wise I have been (Dover). So In bullet points, bald headed waiter, soz never got his name was very rude and arrogant, was not expecting to serve an Indian in an Indian restaurant 🤷‍♂️, I was quickly rushed to my table & handed a Menu, within seconds was asked what I wanted to order, I had only just took my coat off and was trying to browse the menu, So I order a beer to allow some reading time, again within a minute the drink arrived, then again are you ready to order, I find this kind of rushing guests really bad for Business. So I ordered a Meat Thali and found the food off poor quality, I cut the chicken in my butter chicken dish and I could see blood in it. That was the last straw. This place has potential but the waiter staff need more training & the chef needs to know how to make an Indian Tahli the proper way. For me even thou I was here all week I never even thought about going back here, tried other restaurants nearby, Fish & Chip shop next door is not bad. So summing up Rajmahal if I could I would...

Went here based on a recommendation. Food was okay, I ordered a vegetarian curry with medium heat and it was very mild no spice at all and had huge chunks of veg In it. I also had a mushroom rice and peshwarni naan which were both very nice. Service was okay not the best and there was a bald head man who was quite rude. One of our party was still eating and one of the staff members came along and started cleaning plates. At the end of the meal I could tell they wanted us to leave as they kept looking over ready to come and take our plates away etc. When we was ordering a server was skipping over people and ignoring people just interested in those that wanted alcohol. Atmosphere was more like a takeaway restaurant with a cd player skipping songs, a football match on the tv and staff sitting in the restaurant relaxing. I had placed a reservation but the staff had no idea about it and then stuck our party of 7 on a small table. Only good thing was prices were cheap. I don't think I will be going back as it wasn't the best Indian I've had and the service...

Gutted! The man who claims to be manager is really rude towards us by not saying anything by just showing in action ! Is it because we are brown ? How can this people let this man as manager on duty this particular Sunday ! Lamb was rock hard and denied we don’t need one as it is undercooked ! He straight away said we gonna charge for this ? Is this what you expect from a manager ? Really ? I was so disappointed although I’m in media and I will be making a video review about this restaurant provided with my time allows . Hey Brown people please avoid this hotel at any cost you won’t get respect ! Shocked to see locals were supporting the hotel ! Some people have preference of having meat cooked at least to the standard despite of under cooked or well done . Shocking !

I would suggest this hotel to change this manager ! Not leaving this review for food but particularly for this manager...
