It's a really nicely kept park in the middle of a very busy area, not far from Merry Hill Shopping Centre. Lots of grassy areas for kids and dogs to have a run around and a children's playground that looks well kept. Good wide paths and plenty of benches to sit on There is also a cafe with an outdoor sitting area which is dog friendly and the coffee smells amazing! Definitely going to see if it is as good as it smells on my next visit with Bolly. The park is in a valley and both sides are steep so people with limited mobility do need to be aware of this. There is on the street parking or a decent sized car park which is accessed from Thorns Road, There is a running/cycling track round one side of the park near to the War Memorial, for keen runners or cyclists. It's a nice park and one that Bolly and I will definitely visit again, so as she can have a run around and I can try...

Dudley Council Park. This park has improved beyond recognition in the last 5 years. Dudley clearly has either more money or more focus on their parks. It now has an all weather walking / running track around the edge of the park which greatly improves usage. It has all weather basketball courts, tennis, five-aside pitch as well as outdoor gym equipment. There is also a bandstand as well large open spaces used for football and a fenced war memorial which is possibly the most unique thing in the park. The fact a coffee shop has been opened on the site also adds nicely to...

I take my dog here for walks sometimes on a weekend as a change to the usual street walking that he does in the week. There is a small cafe at the top that provides hot and cold drinks as well as food. There is also the option to buy doggy ice-cream. There are some park facilities for the children and a large area for ball throwing if that's what your dog likes. If not then there is a path for you to follow...

It's not a very big park but there's a play area for smaller children and a skate park. There's a memorial to commemorate the local men who gave their lives in the First World War. There's lots of space to walk around or take the dog for a walk. Just off Thorns Road is a small, free car park.
