Tried here for the first time. Parking is a nightmare!! We had a table booked but we were seated anywhere and no one asked for the name even though they send reminder emails about bring late for bookings... how do they even know I showed.... they don't. Not the best carvery in the world. Turkey was dry as a bone. Mashed potato was pale with no flavour. Roast potato's had no crispy or fluffyness to them. Out of a bag I'm guessing. Peas and carrots still hard but broccoli was boiled to death and stuffing bullets, as for the cauliflower cheese.... I have no words, no real cheese went into the making of that. Drowned the whole meal in gravy just to make it go down but with no carbs in my system I was hungry again not long after, so was a waste of money. Best thing on the plate was the honey roasted parsnips, which I don't even like but they looked better then the roast potatoes, so that says it all. And to top if off when asking for the bill. We got another tables bill which was £20 more expensive. Lucky enough I looked at it, as normally I wouldn't. Maybe if I got the table we booked in the first place we wouldn't have had this problem.

Just returned after an excellent carvery. Time of visit: Tuesday 12:30 Atmosphere: Surprisingly quiet (I would say 'calm'!) with an excellent music playlist filling in the background. The dining area is large enough to ensure each table has plenty of room. (This place is much busier at weekends.) Drinks: Good selection and reasonably priced. Food: (Carvery for us.) All of the food was prepared and cooked to perfection. Maybe the 'pigs in blankets' were a slightly expensive extra but we all thoroughly enjoyed our meals. It is fair to say that just commenting on the carvery does not do justice to the full menu. There is a broad selection available here including a full tandoori mixed grill. Desserts: Decent selection. Two of us opted for the cherry pie & custard which was beautifully presented (see photo). Service: Our hosts could not have been more pleasant and were very friendly. We all commented on how comfortable & welcome we felt. We will all be returning.

First time at the Koyla Kitchen was recommended and I can say we truly enjoyed our steaks, they were good cuts and the children's burgers were also very nice will definitely return and recommend we also had some lovely coconut mojito cocktails, atmosphere I rated as a four because I couldve enjoyed my meal a lot more if I could here the good selection of music playing but I couldn't, it was loud enough but neighboring tables were just louder as so close by. also it was so cold in the restaurant tonight tables near by all had coats on my son uncomfortably ate with his coat on as a result of no heating on.

Absolutely horrible. We are a karate group who had booked in the week stating we were bringing a large group of people mostly families to eat after they had all been fundraising for the club by a sponsored walk which took 5 hours to walk. When we went to sit down we were told they couldn't feed up all at once except for carvery !! We had asked if we should pre order to which we were told no it would be fine. 2 hours later most of my children hadn't eaten unless they had had carvery and actually I had to prompt them to ask where the kids food was. Adults who had ordered steak waited 90 minutes from order to table. One table ordered a starter and that arrived after half an hour then their main didn't arrive for another 45 minutes ! Person in charge very unhelpful apparently he phoned manager twice who told him we were only there mostly for drinks and a few people might eat. Firstly if my families were going to walk nearly 10 miles why would they not want to eat after ?? I asked for him to call me......he didn't ! Most families ended up eating a carvery as they couldn't be bothered to wait for food. 4 people myself included didn't eat at all. This was supposed to be a get together after a very successful European championships to Romania recently where after the meal there were speeches and thank you's to do. Also because it was bank holiday my family's didn't have to rush off and so would have continued to spend at the bar. It actually grieves me to give it 1 star which after they could see how unhappy I was as the group organiser some of the waiting staff did try and help and get food out quicker. As a very big association who are based at the Thorns community college just around the corner from Koyla kitchen they have lost a considerable amount of business from us as we are always looking for a restaurant to accommodate all of us. I wouldn't have minded the wait so much if we had just turned up but not only did we book tell them the numbers we were bringing but we also asked them if we should pre order. Awful awful service. I wouldn't give it 1 star. Just read it says good for groups .....what a joke. We weren't even offered any kind of discount for all the inconvenience we experienced and my group...

Have been here multiple times over the year. Had 5 or 6 bottomless brunches for various occasions but this was by far the worst. First off they have moved the bottomless brunches from the nice restraint area to the little pub bit at the front, we didn’t have a designated server but the manager himself who was walking around drinking pints of Madri. We booked for 3pm through online booking only to be called the day before saying can you come between 3:30 and 4 which we didn’t, arrived at 15:50 to be told we were early and were placed in the bar area. Stated he had a lot of people run off without paying and said at the beginning of the brunch that we have to go up to the bar individually and pay before drinking. Got to our second drink in 30 minutes in which was an espresso martini and that went down in 2 seconds. Manager then turned around and said is was ā€œtaking the pissā€, purposely took his sweet time to take our drinks orders and was very blunt and rude, when I confronted him about me ā€œtaking the pissā€ he stated, you won’t get this anywhere else (when in fact I had better else where when I went to las iguanas 3 weeks before and had 19 drinks!), he then proceeded to say I’ve been to all those places, there drinks are shit and I walked out sober (too which I know to be him spouting his nonsense). When I confronted him he then went off on a long tangent talking about how his staff don’t turn up and blah blah blah. Long story short, don’t think people ran off for the sake of it, 6 watered down cocktails in 2 hours is a joke, confrontatial management who want your money but don’t want to provide the service, DONT ADVERTISE BOTTOMLESS BRUNCH IF YOUR NOT GOING TO PROVIDE. Like I said have had many bottomless brunch and meals here but this has put me off for life!, owner is single-handedly driving his business into the ground and customers away....

Food is awful. I go to a lot of bar and grill restaurants and this is the worst i have ever been to. The chicken tikka was soggy and didn’t have a nice taste, I only ate one piece and left the rest. A few of my chips were undercooked. The curry sauce lacked flavour and was a tiny portion. I ordered a keema naan and requested to add cheese to it, I was told they can’t do this (first time I’ve had that problem). The toilets absolutely stink as soon as you enter the first door before entering the actual toilet. The atmosphere was terrible, no music, only one television was turned on and the pool table was covered. There were just a few tables full in the restaurant area and just one person in the bar area. We requested the bill but it didn’t arrive so after exiting the restaurant into the bar area, one of the staff rushed into the bar and told the other staff behind the bar that we hadn’t paid our bill. I thought this was quite rude, she could have at least told him discreetly, I immediately got up went to the bar and requested to pay the bill. I then said I’d pay for all drinks and just my food, she charged me only one drink and the food. So my friend ended paying an extra Ā£9, we found out after making the payments. This isn’t such a big deal but it just shows you there was no listening from the staff. Left disappointed and put a...
