Teamworks Karting in Birmingham (West) is a fantastic venue for a family day out, and it's clear why it's a popular choice for kids' parties and events. The kids had an absolutely brilliant time and were buzzing with excitement for hours afterward! One of the highlights is the cleverly designed track. It’s a multi-level circuit with a fun flyover and a tunnel that makes them feel like they're in a high-stakes race. The layout keeps things interesting and challenging, even for the most enthusiastic young drivers. Safety is clearly a top priority. The staff were excellent, providing a thorough safety briefing and making sure the kids were comfortable and knew how to handle the karts. The fact that the junior karts are specially designed and can have their speed remotely limited by the staff is a great feature, giving parents peace of mind and allowing the kids to build confidence at their own pace. The "Cadet Club" on Sunday mornings is a fantastic idea for younger drivers who want to improve their skills, and the "Karting 30" sessions provide a good amount of track time split into multiple races, which is perfect for keeping their attention and letting them compete. In addition to karting, the venue also offers other activities like laser tag, which is a great option for a full day of entertainment. With facilities like a cafe and party rooms, it’s a perfect spot to celebrate a birthday or just have a memorable day out with the family. The kids were already asking when we...
Read moreI'd just like to write a quick review giving feedback on our experience at the Teamworks Halesowen track.
We took a party of 10 to perform a Grand Prix style event and had a fantastic time. Our abilities ranged throughout the group but that did not matter thanks to Teamworks fantstic system for recording each individual's lap time & updating then on a trackside screen throughout the event. This meant that every single participant could constantly monitor their performance and try to improve on their own personal best regardless of how the were placed in the overall event.
All in all it is a very slick and well run operation so much so that some of us have been back since to participate in 'arrive and drive' sessions (also great value for money).
Teamworks themselves are a very professional, well run organisation who look after their customers properly as you'd expect from any decent retailer that relies on returning custom. During our GP event there was a slight glitch with their computer system which is rare but can happen causing a minor delay to one of our heats.
The Teamworks office investigated the matter fully, were courteous and gave us a credit note to spend with by way of an apology. Like I said a very well run, slick and customer friendly organisation. I'd happily recommend...
Read moreWent with a big group of colleagues on a Friday evening and some of us were trying go karting for the first time - although I can appreciate the excess of safety measures in place, the staff working that evening treated especially me and another colleague like a danger to society for not understanding a couple of rules and making mistakes during our first ever drive, although none of which were affecting or life threatening to anyone. We got kicked off after the first drive and were not let back on to go again, despite our apologies and requests to be told what not to do for next time, resulting in us sitting on the side lines, isolated from the rest of the colleagues who went on to have their second rounds on the course. The staff were cold, unwelcoming and just straight up rude with the way they spoke to us. I understand their need to be stern with the rules but it also felt like they were being horrible just for the sake of it and as if they just wanted to wrap things up to go home as it was a Friday evening. The actual drive and the race course itself was fun, nice variety of drive gear was available and our group was still let on after we all arrived late to our booking, which was nice. But just a huge let down from the staff members once we...
