Great stadium and atmosphere, lovely pitch! Very poor bar service, it was a hot day and my daughter was feeling ill due to the heat, with no where obvious, like a drinks stand to get something quick, I joined a queue for food and drink and didn't move at all in 15 minutes, I gave up and went to the bar, where there were 2 queues, these moved incredibly slowly. I was 2nd in the queue and the bar staff pulled the shutters down and said we had to go to the other side of the bar, we moved across but they too pulled the shutters down, I told them we were desperate for some water but the only thing I managed to get from them (for £6) was 2 small bottles of J20. Read moreThis stadium was a great venue which I went to for the Southampton Vs Manchester United Women's game. The pitch looked pristine and well looked after. The shop was small but proportionate to the size of the stadium. I was able to get a new Eastleigh Spitfire jersey for my collection. I didn't try any of the food from the venue however it was very accessible as there were stands in each corner of the stadium. However the seats were very compact and the way the stands were made it impossible to get food or something at half time and the queues were so long and the seats were compact. At first I was disappointed the women's game wasn't at St. Mary's where it usually is but this stadium brought a great experience and a rivetting performance from both teams....

Cross the road past the University sports grounds then left through Lakeside Country park. Cross the road as you come out the park, along the path the left past a church. If you do this after dark make sure your phone is charged, you'll need the light. I go in the East Stand terrace, buy tickets from the clubshop. Away fans are segregated.
