Painshill Park car park — Attraction in Elmbridge

Disappointed Today.....this is our 3rd visit, we're trying each season to see the changes in the park. Today we arrived ( tickets pre-booked) and our 1st stop was to the Cafè for a light lunch.....sadly there was no hot food available and the queue of people waiting on sandwiches was very long and really slow. The only thing to hand was Crisps or Cake. We ended with cake and coffee ( coffee luke warm and cake very cold and dry! ) I did ask if there was anywhere else to buy food as the Wow Fest was on and thought maybe we could get something there instead...I was told " No" by the staff in the cafè....sadly as we walked around we found Wow fest sold a large variety of food and drink which looked really good and considerably cheaper than the coffee and cake! I know you can't always cater for the amount of people expected but as the majority of tickets are sold in advance surely some idea can be made from this, to not have anything prepared ready for visitors was really disappointing and then to find a short walk away nice hot food could be had made it even worse! Painshill is a wonderful place to visit just outside of London. You can either join as a member or book and pay online for an individual visit.

Members do not have to book in advance.

Plenty of open space to walk around and be able to social distance. Various sites to see and beautiful views to take in as well as some follies to view.

A good place to exercise as well.

There is a place to buy drinks and food, and outdoor seating both open and coveted to sit and eat.

Been past the brown road signs to Painshill many times on the dreaded run into "town", but now I don't have to we gave it a try - well, now I know what we've been missing!! Although it was the middle of February, sunny but exceedingly chilly, we found it an excellent way to unwind and take in nature and the relaxing walks plus all the different buildings scattered around the park.
