"On Sunday afternoon, the 8th of October, I went into the shop and asked for a bagel. The woman behind the counter, while leaning casually as if it were a cheap pub, told me they didn't have any bagels. I looked around and noticed a young man happily eating... a bagel! I asked, 'What is he eating then?' The woman replied, 'Oh, he just brought it with him.' It was clearly a bagel from this coffee shop. Why did she lie to me? How can a bagel place run out of bagels? And why are the staff being so rude to their customers?
I later discovered that this guy actually works at the coffee shop. So, not only was I denied a bagel, but I also had to witness one of the staff members happily eating it right in front of me. And to add insult to injury, they insisted he had just brought it in himself. This incident aside, it's worth mentioning that this place is generally great. However, the individuals who made this visit less than pleasant need a reminder on how to speak to a customer and not be lazy when it comes to preparing a bagel, even if they're closing in an hour." I had my bagel at Gailās and then came back here...
Read moreAs much as we realise businesses are starting to get back on their feet post-Covid, I'm sorry to say we were disappointed when passing through today. The caffe may boast the best coffee in Cobham, but the tea also left a lot to be desired - despite leaving to brew, it was almost opaque when milk was added. On the plus side, very friendly staff, decent toasties, dog friendly and outdoor seating. Suggestion - increase the milkshake size or decrease its price and ditch the fancy tea label for something with a...

ā¦and now Iām coming back to add more info. I wrote that first line after I entered and placed my order. Then the food and coffee came⦠WOW!
I had a cappuccino and the bacon and egg bagel with sweet chilli jam (on an everything bagel). Both the coffee and the food were best Iād had in a long time. The coffee rivals any independent and easily beats chain coffee shop. And, speaking as an American, I didnāt realise good bagels existed in the U.K.
I am definitely returning here soon!
