Today’s my visit to Active Leicester swimming pool was good but few disappointments. I have highlighted below my experience by dividing in to sections.
Reception - Welcoming and great customer service. We really appreciate your service.
parking - Disabled parking available onsite and all others have to park mainly on the streets available.
Changing room - enough room for good amount of people, fairly clean and resourceful with necessities.
Pool - few different options which is good. As far as I noticed one main pool I think it’s deep up to max 1.9m deep , one shadow pool up to 1m deep and a little one with some play area for babies. They have a wavy session in the main pool for around 10 minutes and that was fun and different.
Pool temperature- not warm enough for kids as my kids were shivering nearly a half an hour until they get used to it.
Viewer areas- Good visibility around the pool nice and can’t complain as it looks fairly maintained for all sessions.Tables & chairs available. Got washroom facilities for all.
visitors - people are great. Diverse and friendly. Polite and decent behaviours. Sharing and caring each other.
Staff at pool ( life guards) - Rude and noticed not very polite with few parents next to the main pool . unfortunately I also had to face the same rude attitude in the last 10 minutes of the session and didn’t really mind as of didn’t wanted to make a big deal at that time. Definitely need this area to be rectified and I hope this will be addressed and give them a little bit of customer service training. people who visits this place might have the same zero percent tolerance accepting policy for themselves like you have in your place for you. What I didn’t like most was shouting at little ones to take them off the pool while their parents were trying their best approach to get them out of the pool. This is even happened when they had full 10 minutes from the session end time at 17.00 . I could see people were rushing and so stressed to get out because of this life guards behaviours. This is probably happening because may be they have training sessions which are supposed to start at 17.00. I have just noticed this in the main pool and not sure how other places were. We still going to visit as this rude behaviour of this life guards not relevant for visiting this place and there are so many other good stuff we can experience from here. And we desperately hope our next visit won’t be the same like this time and will be a much better one for us all.
Thanks for the all...

The hygiene Has slipped considerably since the 1990's, 20-30 pairs of outdoor-flip flops are being allowed to be kept at the waters edgen the the staff have NO controll over outdoor footwear being stored at the end of the swimming pool, it's vile, in the 90's, the rule was NO out door shoes were allowed pool side, NOW thier is outdoor flip flops floating in the pool from the waves washing them in, litterlaly floating in the pool with go know what on the bottom of them.
The changing rooms have brown sludge water in them from 'uncultured' people walking them by the showers to the pool, whilst cultured people are forced to walk through the sludge from the shower, its filthy.
Zero control of suitable swim wear, religious Burkinis are clearly for swimming baths, cotton dress, bellow the knee is now being passed as okay, died cotton is not ok, branded cotton mini mouse T shirts and leggins i see in there now, the water is opaque, it's not clear, its hazy and opaque, it's a horrible dirty and disgusting pool, people look like they're not even dresses suitably respectful for a public pool, and the staff do nothing..ZERO.
Weak leaders, weak results. I blame the staff the not policing policy of public suitable swim costumes, and the out door flip flops pool side is just taking the P.
They've spoiled it for the half that we're brought up not to do it.
Get a grip Beaumont leys swimming baths!
Sort your rules and policies out, enough is enough. Sludge and dog poo shoes floating in the pool is Horrendously filthy, police the animals that do this and police your staff.
Strong leader, strong results. You need a team meeting and LARGE SIGNS if your too scared to upheld the cleanliness for the population that won't wear out door shoes for the people that also dont wear outdoor shoes past the showers.
Burkinis only, not mini mouse cotton outdood-wear T shirts and ZERO flip flops POOLSIDE, the place is filthy. I've never seen it so muddy poolside and so many outdoor cliths being worn in the pool. It's unhygienic, unclean and not the ideal scenario for a public swimming baths where children play.
You want to be utterly ashamed of...
Read moreHave to leave one star I am so sorry, the pool is good and my daughter always has a good time and likes the little slides. But kids will enjoy anything. My main issue are the arrogant and rude staff, I had to dry my daughters hair and their were men being inappropriate in the male changing rooms, they were completely naked and using bad language. My daughter is five btw. So I took her in the female changing room to simply dry her hair using the blow dryers, which btw are away from the main changing section where people get dressed and showered. Then about 3 women accosted me and my daughter ranting and raving saying I need to leave and go back in the men's. Even after explaining to them the situation. These women were so aggressive and arrogant, I'm a paying customer!?!?! I understand that this can be a tricky and difficult situation, and a bit of a grey area because I am a man in a designated female area, but common sense and logic have to take precedent here, I am fully clothed with my five year old daughter drying her hair. It's similar to when dad's take their daughters into women's bathrooms for toilet break, yes it can be awkward and a bit jarring seeing a man In the women's toilets, sure, but that is a father with his daughter and the men's toilets are disgusting, this is widely known all around the world. There is no way In hell any father would allow their daughter to sit on a toilet in the men's. Sorry.
This has happened twice now and the aggression and arrogance of the staff is really...
