Costa Coffee — Restaurant in England

My wife and i stopped off at Costa Beaumont Leys whilst shopping there on 26th Jan. When we got our drinks and food outside, we found that the cleanliness of the plates, cups and saucers were stained from previous use. My wife went in to use the toilet and found that the seat in the toilet was soiled with excrement, and the toilet area itself was unclean with a foul aroma. She spoke to the Manager about the issues we had, but rather than being apologetic about our experience, she went on to say that it was all the fault of their new owners, Coca-Cola, for cutting labour and salaries, and that the current workforce were very unhappy. I can understand that big business is in it for the profits, and that employees can sometimes be caught up in the wake of so called 'Improvements. However, (and this applies to the business as we as their staff), I have always found that if you overlook your customers service, your customers will take their service elsewhere. - Business...

I don't normally write reviews but I wish to extend my thanks and thoughts to Costa Coffee in Beaumont Leys. I had taken my elderly mother for her shop on Saturday a couple of weeks back and she can experience anxiety towards strangers. She had known the team previous to this visit. There were new/newer staff on duty but a lady by the name of Sanifa/Safina had provided excellent customer service which allowed her to enjoy her mid-morning tea. Sanifa/Safina had helped her tremedously and went out of her way to make her visit most comfortable. I'm sorry we didn't take down your name but I hope this is enough for management to recognise...

When we visit after 6pm, the place is often empty. The young guy that serves is always friendly and helpful. My main issue with this branch is that, usually when the other female staff are working, they clean the toilets 30 minutes to an hour before closing, put a table in front of the door, and tell you to use the toilets in Tesco. You are selling drinks that make people need to use the toilet, this is stupid behaviour and is making us not want to keep coming here. Starbucks is only around the corner, maybe they would appreciate the regular...
