A beautiful and peaceful spot that’s perfect for a relaxing day out by the sea. With its wide sandy shoreline, calm waters, and surrounding greenery, it offers a scenic escape that’s especially great for families, couples, or anyone wanting to enjoy some quiet time by the coast. The beach is ideal for paddleboarding, kayaking, and even exploring the rock pools when the tide’s low. There’s a lovely promenade lined with colourful beach huts, and nearby parkland makes it great for picnics or casual games.

Facilities are well maintained, with toilets, showers, cafés, and even deckchair and boat hire available during the season. The car park and bike racks are conveniently close, and there’s a gentle slope leading to the beach, although access to the sand itself involves some steps. It’s also worth noting that dogs aren’t allowed on the main beach between May and September, but there is a nearby dog-friendly section. All in all, Broadsands is a charming, clean, and well-equipped beach that’s well worth visiting if you're in the...

Felt the beach it’s self was crowded, sharp pebbly sand and lots of water sports enthusiasts so difficult to swim. Not sure if regular occurrence but loads of sea weed washed up again making swimming difficult. Reason for four stars is location is beautiful, steam train going over the viaduct in the distance and views across the Torquey is lovely plus beach had plenty of parking. Tried the restaurant on the beach which was okay but nothing special, coffees were a press of a button powder coffee machine, chips were nice but condiments were empty, staff seemed annoyed when I asked for...

Crowded at this time of year, but a beach with a shallow range and soft sands is ideal for the little ones.

On site amenities, such as sports equipment hire, café with top notch offerings and toilets make for a great get away.

The surrounding area is beautiful all year round, take a costal walk if you don't fancy the beach and listen for the whistle of the nearby steam train as it trundles along its track above the beach on the cliff side walk.

Car parking is relatively cheap, and a 6 hour stay will cost less than £7, with plenty of space for even the summers rush...

Beach is good go once tide out more space then toilets are horrid, they barely lock they stink, non had toilet roll they looked horrid as if you where back in the Victorian times they were run down seriously need to update them. The place you wash your feet off had a nest of wasps. And people where trying to clean boats so had a long waiting line at there was only one. Really need to smooth the path down as it hurts when your walking to the toilets barefooted or to the tap to what your feet off.
