If you’re looking for warmth, consistency, and a little slice of coastal magic, K'ohana is it. As a weekly regular for the past four years, I can honestly say this my favourite place I gravitate towards.
What makes K'ohana special? ☕️ The Oat Hot Chocolate – My absolute must-have! Creamy, comforting, and always perfect. 🍨 Incredible Ice Cream Selection– Whether it’s sunny or cloudy, their flavors are creative, fresh, and impossible to resist. 🍹 "Cheeky" Evening Beverages – The vibe effortlessly shifts from daytime cafe to relaxed evening hangout. Perfect for unwinding as the sun sets.
But what truly sets K'ohana apart is its people. The staff aren’t just friendly—they’re genuinely welcoming, remembering faces and making everyone feel valued. A huge shout-out to Jack, whose dedication and ever-present smile have brightened countless visits for me and so many others. He embodies the spirit of this place: warm, consistent, and always going the extra mile.
Whether you’re a local searching for your new regular spot or a visitor craving authentic beachside charm, K'ohana delivers. It’s more than a cafe—it’s a community cornerstone where great drinks, sweet treats, and kind service come together perfectly.
Thank you, K'ohana team (and Jack!) I’ll see you next week… and for many more oat hot...
Read moreExcellent cafe on the beach, with a good assortment of food and drinks and what I believe the best ice cream (Marshfield’s), having been to the Marshfield’s Farm in between Bath and Bristol. It is a great ice cream, especially the Blackcurrant and vanilla clotted cream ice creams. They have an excellent seating area, and they are building another seating area. Broadsands is a beautiful beach and you can easily walk to Elberry Cove. I would highly recommend this cafe, as the service is excellent. You can do a longer walk to Churston Cove, Battery Gardens and to Brixham. The photographs are of Broadsands Beach and the walk to Elberry Cove. The walk is fairly flat and easy to do, ideal for dog...

You also really need to start giving people paper bags to carry their food and cup carriers. You’re giving people massive trays of food to carry (which they have probably spent near £40 on) and I’ve seen more than one person get attacked by seagulls or drop it people the trays have got damp etc. very high prices should = good food and decent containers. Before you say I should have taken in back… I already waited 20mins for...
