are you wondering what elberry cove is like ? see it ! have i had a 5-star experience ? oh yes, i say it ! you also wanna enjoy it ? go and you're sorted !
i recommened getting there by double-decker bus – you'll get to experience closeness to tree canopy as well as wide views of green fields with cows and sheep. upon arrival, walk past the purple alien flower, below a scenic bridge and you'll arrive in broadsands beach's wonderful landscape defined by wasser, wiese, wald. the vast reddish coastline transports you into a surreal universe with a backdrop of fluffy clouds, an old railroad winding its way through the cliffs and tiny colorful houses keeping our secrets. the ebb & flow might reveal a graveyard of crabs, but will hopefully make you wonder how you hold your dreams instead of holding on to toxic anger. to connect deeper with the space, i suggest digging your feet into the squishy sand and merging your skin with green algae after a refreshing swim.
if you're hungry, an admirer of dogs or both, go get some bubble & squeak at venus café and check out the photos of previous furry visitors. you might even get a wet greeting by ralph ! continue your spaziergang up the grassy hill that is sprinkled with plenty of benches offering rest. further up the trail, a magical forest delights you with playful shadows. this is the time to rethink goal orientation, leave the path and adventure down to the hidden cove. it's only you, black rocks beautifully covered in yellow lychen, an abundance of pretty pastel shells and, occasionally, a random stranger dropped off by a boat. water levels rise quickly, so enjoy your stay while you can. when returning, follow the smell of firewood, marshmallows & corn on a cob to dive into comforting memories of summery beach days.
a vibrant moment, a bittersweet ending. this rollercoaster ride of emotions might be a bit too much for your little heart, so beware of the melancholia possibly following the awakening from this turtle...

Read moreThis is a really stunning beach. The water was beautiful and the cove is stunning. We visited on a very busy day and walked along the cost path from Broadsands which was packed! So it was nice to get away from the crowds. The walk is about 10-15mins with kids and it’s over a hill so a bit of a climb with all your gear! Once there it’s worth it, until the speed boats and jet bikes come Along and pollute the serenity with their noisy engines and high speeds making the cove feel a little unwelcoming to swim in! We stuck to the rocks where they can’t go but it’s still very noisy and overwhelming! I wonder if there should be restrictions in place for times of day these people can use that cove to...
