Watch out for the carpark charge. As an out of region visitor it looks just like any other Morrisons car park in the country, until you receive the £100 fine, because it turns out, it is pay to park. Obviously not somewhere I will be returning to or would recommend. There's plenty of great shops elsewhere locally, where I and my local family will be taking our trade in future. If I could give 0 stars I would. 29/12/22 In response to Widnes Market's comment. While I have sympathy for your situation, the fact remains that very many people, particularly out of town visitors, are being caught with £100 fines because of the lack of clarity regarding parking. Go into any Morrisons or supermarket in the country and you will see Identical signage. The impression is reinforced by the Morrison's trolley shelters. You might consider putting up some prominently displayed signs letting your customers know about the charge. As it was, I approached the market via the wallpaper shop and did not see the coin meter. It wasn't until the following day during a second visit, that I came out of the main entrance and spotted a pay meter. Take some responsibility for ensuring your potential customers are aware of the charges. I paid the fine, but will not be returning and strongly advise others to steer clear until the situation around parking fees and/or signage...
Read moreNot what it used to be, which is a shame, And to see so many empty stalls is sad. I visited on a Friday expecting to see the outside market bustling but instead I was greated by what looked like a car boot sale and it was definitely a Friday and not a wednesday! I actually mentioned to a stallholder that I wasn't aware the car boot was a Friday as well as a Wednesday they assured me it wasn't and that this was actually the market holders stalls.... Theres a noodle shop in the fish/meat market which is amazing. You need to try it and thank me later, the butchers which serves sandwiches make the best barms on town and the cafes inside are all great and staff are friendly. The opticians are great and friendly in fact they go above and beyond to help. And the pet stores are full with everything you could possibly want for your puts or wildlife. Just remember if you visit by car and park in carpark you need to pay at the pay stations, or you...
Read moreLovely market! Some brilliant stalls and lovely traders. First time I’ve visited and can honestly say one of the better markets around.
Pet stall in the middle has everything you need and the woman was so helpful and very knowledgable. the noodle bar & the butcher in the fish hall for my husband all lovely. They’ve got a variety of stalls that fits every age group. There’s a Spanish cleaning stall inside that had a brilliant range of products and choice, the trader in there was lovely and very helpful.
Couple of baby stalls too, picked up some lovely bits for my grandchildren and a lovely wool stall which you don’t see much of anymore.
Great market, very clean & tidy, needs a few more traders as did notice a couple of empty stalls but overall well worth a...
