San Marino Italian Bar & Restaurant - Widnes — Restaurant in England

Went there yesterday with my girlfriend the baby and two friends for a meal. Food was OK. We were greated by a bald guy with the glasses and he was very warm and welcoming and I guess he was the manager. The younger staff was just all over the place and hostile to the manager, especially the young lad with the beard. He was distispectfull towards the bald guy and acted like he was the one in charge. The same young lad served us the foodf and the way he served us was very rude. We witnessed a very unpleasant scene when the staff was at the bar and the young lad was very disrespectful and offensive towards the manager and the bald guy told him he was out of line. Then a big beard guy came into it and toke the young lad side and he also was very hostile to the bald guy too.We felt sorry for the bald guy as he was very friendly, welcoming and professional. In the end the bald guy was sent home, and we were watching the young beard lad and his expression when the bald guy was sent home was of joy like saying, finally I got you out of here. This Restaurant is the best and now my favourite Italian. We ate here last Thursday evening with my 2 Australian relatives that were visiting from down under , We was a table of four and was our First time to San Marino and definitely not the last I actually live in Glasgow but it was my sister who lives in Widnes who booked the table. Good choice sis!. San Marino - You have the most friendly staff and can't do enough for your customers . Kitchen team are fantastic - food was Top notch ( I'm an ex chef( Italian and French cuisine) and very picky and couldn't fault a thing!!!! . The menu is so good plenty of choice . This is a great Italian asset to the food scene in Widnes. We booked a table for 7 people. We were welcomed when we arrived and shown our table. We ordered our drinks a good bottle of Montepuliciano, white wine Spitzer and a bierra Moretti. We decided on 4 shared starters- bruscettas, spicy sausage and buffalo cheese, spicey prawns and Calamari. All served well by a wonderful young lady and gentleman who made our visit memorable. They were so efficient and refilled our drinks as and when we required. The main meals were delicious for all of us. Penne pasta San Marino style, Seafood linguine, Meatballs, Mussels and Cod and a Spaghetti pasta dish. All beautifully presented and well cooked. We decided to have a shared dessert of Tiramisu and Cheesecake- absolutely delicious. We will certainly be coming back when we all meet up as a family again.
