Despite having worked diligently for the company and consistently demonstrating my commitment, I was recently subjected to an incident that was both disheartening and completely disrespectful. I had booked a stay at a hotel three months prior to leaving the company, with the understanding that I would retain the company discount for this purpose. I was explicitly told that I could keep the discount even after my departure. However, upon leaving, manager demanded that I personally cover the difference, (NOW!)despite the prior arrangement and the fact that the booking was made well in advance while I was still employed.
This situation is not about the money but about the principle and morale. It is unfair and goes against the mutual support we should have in the industry. I have worked really hard for this company, and it is disheartening to be treated with such disregard. In our industry, we should support each other. I would never treat a colleague from a different hotel in this way. The lack of respect shown to me in this situation was very saddening.
I believe that this kind of behavior reflects poorly on the company's values and its treatment of employees, both current and former. I hope that this matter will be addressed promptly and that steps will be taken to ensure that no one else has to experience such unprofessionalism and lack of empathy in the future.
Big thanks for housekeepers that took care of Us ,only plus about this place, I’m done with company...
Read moreBit of a mission to find, it's on a retail park with a 'blink and you'll miss it' access road from a four lane welcome to Widnes.
That said its quiet with no road noise.
Ground floor room, occasional bump from room above and a slight electric whine that never stops - not enough to complain about, but just enough to hear. Windows that you can't open but an air vent in roof with lots of bits of previous guests (dust) poking out - probably the source of the whine.
It's clean, comfortable and you know what to expect before you arrive.
It might just be where I am but the phone reception is awful - like none. So it's the WiFi for me, of which there are two. The free one which seems to be the modern day equivalent of dial up, and the Premium £5 for 24 hours. Funnily enough the Premium one is fine, about 9 MB on a speed checker. If I was being cynical I could suggest that the lack of a phone reception inside and a poor free WiFi was an attempt to push people to paying for the Premium one, but I'm not.
They...

Had a few problems e.g interconnecting doors left open both sides and I could walk in to someone else's room, but was quickly resolved by staff which gave me a complimentary breakfast voucher
Would be nice to have proper toilet rolls instead of square individual sheets.
Breakfast was pretty poor on the first day, because plates and food was cold but got better by the 2nd and 3rd visit. Eggs would be better made to order than served rubbery like the fried eggs or very watery scrambled eggs.
Chair in the bedroom was heavily stained, perhaps would be better to use synthetic leather as more hygenic?
Couldn't mirror connect my samsung phone to the tv even thought it says you can.
Only 1 bedside table, which I found odd.
Key card to room didn't work 50% of the times so I had to go back to reception for them to renew it everytime.
I would say again as aplace to sleep but don't...
