This is a wonderful hidden gem of a walk within forest on side of hill overlooking Withdean Stadium. It is great for walking the dog particularly on hot days as plenty of shade. Also great for kids as there is a trail with different things to discover and if lucky (and they've not all gone) they provide a small booklet which kids can use to discover trees and wildlife with lots of signs at different parts of the trail. In winter the trail at the top can be slippery but always a pleasure just need to be a little more careful...

Read moreWithdean Park is a nice park and with a well maintained and enclosed dog walking area, it's a little busy at the moment but really good to have somewhere that dogs who are no used to running free yet can be let off the lead and interact with other dogs.
It's a shame the council has not kept the pond in the condition of their predecessors but I guess they can't fit a bus lane close enough...
