Went on Sunday, 1 July 2018 for a walk and popped into the centre to get some advise on the best walks etc. The staff were unfriendly and unhelpful. We picked up a map for the High Beach to Chingford walk. The map wasn't that useful as there are no relevant marking eg Car parks are not labelled. Also it does not correspond to the maps that are on display at the car parks eg Jack's Hill. So you can not track where you are or where you are going. Normally the staff give you pointers and mark key points on the map to help. ...
   Read moreAbsolutely beautiful. Unfortunately the visitor centre was closed, it's only open friday-sunday and bank holiday Monday. The toilets were not very nice and needed a good clean, wooden toilet seats and generally disgusting. The forest is lovely, beautiful walks, ancient trees and lots of wildlife including Deer's.
