Free parking at museum, free entry to the site. Café at entrance along with toilets. The area is very well maintained. Clean and tidy. Tables outside you can also sit at and soak up the atmosphere.

Various areas to have a look at, there was only one building I believe does not have a lift to go upstairs and that is the main building in the centre as it is on of the oldest. However, you can enter the ground level which is the original part of the building. Everywhere else is wheelchair and parm accessible. Staff very friendly and helpful. I believe you can pay for a tour guide if you wish.

There is a beautiful walk along the water way that runs just outside the museum. You can sit and watch some boats go by, groups doing water sports that are on the little island or kick a ball around on the grass area. A beautiful...

On our first trip to the north of Ireland we stopped in Enniskillen for a quick break by a river bank. On a whim we decided to have a look around Enniskillen Castle. £6 each for tickets which is very very reasonable in my opinion. We didn’t really follow any predetermined path, just started rambling. What a lovely, informative and educational ramble that was. Beautifully laid out and meticulously maintained displays chart the rich history of the area through the ages. From early settlers to the industrial age. Across to the military museum that shares the history of the Royal iniskilling Fusiliers and their involvement and sacrifice across many wars. A totally unexpected experience that I can only...

Today was in the town with my friends. Being intrigued in history and local heritage we decided to go onto the castle grounds, entered with ease and no objections with staff. Upon viewing one of the mortar guns, an older male staff member came up to us passive aggressively saying we were being, ‘discourteous’ for not greeting staff however there was no indication by staff that they were interested in us and there were no clear Signs that we had to, ‘greet staff”. As a university student interested in Enniskillen and its culture, this was not very appealing and I doubt I’ll visit again due to this man’s rude patronising attitude, and if the staff let us in without any issue I do not see any...
