It's just crazy golf. And id have maybe been happy paying the £20 pp it said it was priced from. But for the 3 of us it ended up costing me £95......for golf ! The only part where I really felt you were experiencing it being in a cave was on the train heading down. That lasts 90 seconds. Basically it's a good game of crazy golf but by no means is it worth the money you pay. I felt robbed and left feeling deflated. It's nothing in comparison to the other experiences available and which I have done previously. All the others are worth their cost. So unless doing as part of a longer day and tying in some of the other experiences too I'd save Ur money and go to a different crazy golf and save a fortune. The drive there was nice though. Not one for leaving negative reviews where I can help it but want to save others from feeling deflated too. At least we can say we did it. Will stick to the typical zip world type adrenaline...
Read moreWas bought this experience for my birthday trip away! The location was easy to find.
We had booked in for 11:50 as it stated there was more free places at this time and we expected it to be busy.
There's a short walk to the actual course which does involve negotiating a fairly long set of steps and low cave roof at times. You're issued with a helmet before you set. Off!
The actual course isnt too challenging, there's some great features, including traditional mining equipment, that have been placed on the course.
An eery atmosphere with the lighting, and it can get dark in places! It's also quite cool, so bring an extra layer.
An optional feature is to ride a slide to the last couple of holes or so. - there's stairs, should you not want too.
I had a great time, and had a special chicken sandwich meal in the cafe for lunch!
Thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will...
Read moreSome of the obstacles on the course are awkward, meaning you would be better playing around them then playing through them. We found on occasion the ball could get stuck in the obstacles or in part that's in playable. With everyone going down into the cave as a big group it means everyone is teeing off at the same time meaning you queue for the entire way round, this can make you rush your turn as you feel like you are holding up everyone behind and you know they are all watching you. There was a sign on the course saying every hole has a par but it wasn't at the hole or scorecard so don't know how well we did play. Small improvements are needed to the course and ideally staggering players starting would help. No toilet in the cave so good luck if you really need to go! All round good fun just...
