Folkestone Trawlers Ltd — Attraction in Folkestone and Hythe District

Would’ve been a 5 but....

So We bought a bunch of prawns, scallops and cod from trawlers on Sunday. While tue prawns and scallops were very fresh and delicious. We found a worm coming out of the cod a few minute after we marinated it in salt and oil. We disposed of the piece with worm and proceeded to pan fry the remaining 2 pieces, and the heat pushed another worm out from another piece.

While we support local stores and really enjoyed the rest of the seafood. We would recommend for the store to pay closer attention to parasites (Lernaeocera branchialis) It’s my first time seeing it in cod to be honest. Now I will look out...

I purchased mussels, clams, prawns and some samphire today. All produce was extra fresh and the mussels have made one of the tastiest bowls of Moules Marinière I've ever eaten.

The staff member was incredibly friendly and helped with portion sizes and advice on what was local.

I would buy fish from here without hesitation and highly recommend this business if you want good quality...

Excellent experience, thank you. Folkestone Trawlers to be commended on fresh produce and cleanliness of preparation and presentation. I do not understand negative/neutral comments posted. Skate and some other fish smell strongly but are not “off”. Cod, haddock and some other fish are prone to parasites which will do you no harm. Comments obviously left by someone other than a...
