This is a very interesting place if you have any interest in diving exhibits cover the full range of diving activities from sport diving to commercial activities. The exhibition is in part of a Napplionic fort therefore allowance should be made as access for limited mobility people is limited but the knowledgeable ex diving staff are extremely helpfull and if there is a way to get you in they will make sure your visit will be enjoyable. Currently opening times are limited to satirdays and sundays from 11am to 4pm. There are plane afoot to extend the exhiition space firther into the building but it could be a while as although the have been given a lottery grant they need to raise the same amount themselves in order to qualify. Read moreWARNING !!!! This museum is not wheelchair friendly at all. There are 3 steps into the entrance then 6 steps down. The staff were unsympathetic and asked if I could get out of the wheelchair and get down them. After I told them no I couldn't, why would I need a wheelchair if I could? They even said they could try and carry me down, NO thanks, what happens if they drop me ? I don't fancy being taken to hospital. Staff are very friendly and polite, willing to give you heeps of information or take a step back and let you go our own pace. The museum is fairly small, so doesn't necessarily take long to walk around. It's lovely for children. My daughter is only 2 yet there was a couple of clever activities to get her engaged.
