Craigellachie National Nature Reserve (Entrance) — Attraction in Great Britain

From short walks around the bird trail to a bit of a trek to the view point, this nature reserve is certainly beautiful. There is a board on arrival which shows you the maps of the different trails allowing you to choose which walk is best for you. We took 35 mins to complete the the bird trail which is a shorter loop. We then went to the view point which in all honesty is a lot tougher. We took about 40 mins to get to a viewing point, you can go further, the path is very steep at points and with rocks and dirt under foot is quite challenging. a very stunning nature reserve with plenty of trees there is different walks and be prepared the one that takes you to the top to see the birds of prey or you can take the short way round to enjoy the sound of the birds and the moments of peace and quiet and the lochs and reflections of the trees you can sit down and have a picnic and let the kids enjoy the woods you can let your dog off as well and remember to take all your rubbish...

Very scenic hike. Spectacular view of the countryside. Hike takes about an hour and a half. Route is well marked but a bit steep in places. Maps marker for the entrance is misleading though, the entrance is technically right under the A9, you can't get to it from the road directly though.
