Grand River Suite — Attraction in Great Britain

Full of promises but delivered nothing which is a shame because the venue has large potential.

The venue was booked until 8pm but security shut the DJ off at half 7 and tried to start evacuating the building which was completely embarrassing.

A tier of the wedding cake went missing (believe was dropped by the staff when being transferred to be cut and served, by an overheard conversation).

The waiters were absolutely shocking and rude. No clue how to serve at a wedding.

Promised all new decorations but then were told they wouldn't arrive in time.

Promised new table clothes at no extra cost but then when they arrived they wanted to charge extra.

Promised they would only charge for the exact number of guests once confirmed but decided to charge at the full quoted capacity.

Promised to give the bar serving glasses but on the day didn't provide the bar staff with anything even though it was on the function sheet! Bar staff had to go to Costco to get plastic glasses until the matter was resolved.

Promised so much on our function sheet but it was never provided.

Given an event planner who was absolutely useless. Too busy on the day showing a couple around the venue rather than looking after our event.

They moved some of our cake stands but were nowhere to be found when we left, so called the next day to try and collect them and claimed that nothing was left at the venue.

Manager wouldn't even adjust the lighting for the camera men to take images of the cake before the guests came into the room, therefore we were unable to get any nice shots of the wedding cake or room before it was full.

Toilets were not maintained during the function.

Would never recommend this venue to anyone. The manager and event planner spent more time arguing with us then providing the service that would have been expected when planning one of the biggest days of your lives.

Our guests were full of praise, complimenting us repeatedly on the beauty of the venue and the smooth flow of the celebration. Many remarked it was one of the most beautiful weddings they had ever attended.

We are immensely grateful to the team at Grand River Suites for making our son’s wedding a spectacular, unforgettable experience. Very disappointed with my wedding they rushed the entire thing as they were double booked! The day was really hot I'm guessing to save money they decided not to put the air conditioning on, the guest where really frustrated many enquired to put it on but they made several excuses. They cut corners where ever they could but happily charged full price for thier service!! Did not get what we paid for would not recommend at all!

It is not blameless accusations do not label it like that, you can't have a room full of people complaining about the same thing and than later deny it wasn't a problem! We were told by one of your venue  manager that the food will get cold that's why it was off therefore I haven't made something up. There were loads of our guest who witnessesed and gave us feedback of this being said.

If you think that wasn't rushing I dont know what else is everyone saw the poor management it's only your team who thinks it was acceptable. Its been filmed therefore there is of evidence of how much the entire event was rushed!
