This was the most beautiful beach we have ever seen! It's quite difficult to find and access, and so unsuitable for pushchairs or wheelchair users. We eventually managed to drive down to the surrounding hillside and walk across, past a freshwater lake and cobbles to this stunning beach.
Walking barefoot along this incredibly long and beautiful stretch of beach was how I'd imagine being in Heaven - amazing peace, spaciousness, calm, virtually deserted and so restful and calming, with the sound and sight of the breakers rolling in and the vault of the blue sky above.
We enjoyed watching the surfers and picking up rocks and pebbles.
Only one bum note - loads of people took their dogs here, not an issue in itself except for the occasional bag of dog poo thoughtlessly and disgustingly left at the entrance to the beach, spoiling an otherwise...

As always, check tide times to plan your visit and avoid disappointment. The beach is massive, with plenty of room for everyone and endless stretches for a scenic walk. Our cat loved exploring the rocks, and we had a blast building sandcastles. It’s also a perfect place to catch stunning sunsets....
