This is my favourite place to be, the Mill pond is beautiful the town quaint, retaining some of the qualities lost in the surrounding area. It has, a butcher, a green grocer, antique shops, pubs, library, a co-op supermarket, train station and a beach of sorts and if yacht float your boat a fully equipped boat yard. A good place to go if it’s been raining and you don’t want to wear your wellies. Lovely walk round the sea on one side and the mill pond on other. Plenty of swans and small boats too with dog walkers galore. There is a lovely little snack van and a cafe near the quay too. Just find a seat (plenty of those) and watch the world go by.
