We held our wedding at Highcliffe Castle on 13.7.24 and it was, quite literally, the day of our dreams. There’s so much that went into making it the perfect day, and that, of course, does include a lot of suppliers who worked incredibly hard to bring our dream to life. A supplier that did SO much of the heavy lifting was our venue and the absolutely incredible team that work there.

I was shown around by Gracie when we first visited the venue. I looked at it and fell in love pretty much instantly. My husband and I are both Harry Potter obsessed and I’m a keen Disney girl; this venue encompassed all the magic you’d find in Disney World in Florida with the stunning British charm that made it the perfect venue for our Potter-themed wedding.

I told the team that I wanted our wedding to feel like us - traditional but with all the tiny details that made it undeniably ours. Let me tell you: they worked their absolute socks off from the moment we booked to the big day itself to do that for us.

The Wintergarden is absolutely stunning and a truly magical place to hold your ceremony. Even without any decor, it’s just beautiful. Add in decoration, lots of smiling/crying (with happy tears) guests and an owl flying the rings down the aisle and you’ve got the perfect ceremony.

The Great Hall is where we chose to hold our wedding breakfast because it literally looks like you’ve walked into Hogwarts. We also chose to make use of the castle’s candelabra package, which transformed the room and gave it such a romantic feel.

The entire team - especially Gracie - went above and beyond. We felt like they truly cared about our big day. We weren’t just another client. On the day itself, Gracie kept me calm, helped me get around in a (very) large dress, and seemed so happy for us even though she’s seen so many people get married.

Organisation was great from day one and I cannot fault them in any way at all.

Highcliffe Castle, our wedding was everything we could ever have dreamed of, and a lot of that is down to the stunning venue itself but also all of the incredible people who worked so hard to bring fantasy into reality. We genuinely cannot thank you all enough.

If you’re looking for a venue that exudes magic, has a team that will make all of your vision come true from the tiniest of details, and somewhere that has SO many photo opportunities (from all of the rooms to the grounds to the entrance to the forest-y bit to the beach) please take a look at Highcliffe Castle. I guarantee you’ll fall in love as soon...

My daughter and I have visited before, but only the grounds and cafe, so wanted to tour the Castle. A guided tour was available later in the day but we only had the morning, so we opted to take our own tour. The ladies on Reception were very helpful and informative - starting you off with a short background of what you will see. The rooms then follow with photographs, much printed information to read, moving images and also smells associated with events that occured in the Castle's past i.e. the smell of smoke from two huge fires! There is much to see and read - we were impressed with the clarity of the writing and felt we wanted to read it all!! Many interesting people have lived in the Castle and information is given on them all. One example is Mr Selfridge and his family who rented the Castle for over six years and loved it there. Edward VII was a very important visitor. Also there are lovely costumes reproduced of clothing worn at various periods. This was beautifully presented. One whole area is given over to stained glass rennovation and this was particularly interesting with much to see. Many people are to be congratulated for the excellent work involved and how it is presented. Children are not forgotten as there are dressing up stations and quizes for them to enjoy. No time limit is set on your time in the rooms, and you are welcome to retrace your steps to look again at something you wish to revisit. There is an excellent gift shop and a lovely cafe to enjoy - we will definately be making a return visit on our next holiday to this area. Thankyou to everyone who gave us such an...

This will always be close to my heart. Highcliffe castle is outstanding and where I married my wife in 2018. The whole package from the day we booked till 2 days after the wedding the service was like no other we ve ever experienced. And the setting couldn't be more perfect. SUN SHINING down on us and our guests all day with amazing views and after the ceremony a short 2 minute walk down some steps and your on the sandy beaches it really couldn't be set out any better for wedding photos afterwards. From the Planner s, the catering services we were introduced to were amazing the marque company for the extra decor in the reception room with led dance floor amazing and the DJ again introduced to us by the castle team was a massive 15/10 rating from me and did exactly what we wanted catering for our old school dance music being a must and did it perfectly. 5 years on still married and would do it again at the castle to renew vowels in 5 years time without a question in my mind.

Lovely and popular place to visit. We parked in the Highcliff castle car park for access to the beach. The car park if not that big and it does get busy so you may not get a space. On the day that we visited, there was a wedding so a small section of the car park was cordoned off for wedding guests exclusive use. That meant even less parking spaces. There are other paid car parks not too far away but we were lucky enough to get a space. You have to pay for parking. You can pay by coins, card (at selected machine) or by phone. The latter is quite challenging because the reception is not very good but if you go to the gift shop, they have free wifi. Even you you just intent to go to the beach, I would highly recommend a walk around the castle, have a look at the gift shop or grab a bite or have tea in the cafe. The cafe is dog friendly (definitely outside). Most tables seem to have a dog. As you walk round there are occasional benches to rest and take in the scenery. There is also an area with stepping stones which is fun for kids and even adults. Highly recommend a visit.
