Its a very old church constructed in around 540 AD, and renovated over the past hundreds of years. To its actual state. Very well preserved well maintained, we were greeted by a lady at the church who was handing out flyers of the history of the church and giving information to the visitors. It was unlike all other modern churches, it had many graveyards outside as well as inside the church, there is a wishing bowl where you can wish, and place a stone in the tub of water. It was a calming and relaxing place to connect with jesus. The outside of the church has these wonderful views of the water stretch and the cargo ships passing by.

Our ferry to Dublin had been delayed, so we spent our time in the walled area where the church is located. The weather was lovely and we sat and enjoyed the views of the hatbor. There are historical markers explaining the significance of the area.

It's been a few years since my visit, but I will always remember the Men's Choir which was performing in the church. The sound was marvelous and the blending of the voices superb. The setting cozy and intimate.
