I highly recommend Marsden Mutts Secure Dog Field Hire. For the Dogs it's off lead freedom and fun and for myself it's the piece of mind the secure field gives that you. You can let the Dogs run about without the worry of losing them or them bothering any cattle or wildlife. It's a joy to watch them running about freely having so much fun. The field is particularly useful for the reactive Dogs that I walk too because I can let them off Lead without the worry that they might bother any other Dogs. The owners are a warm, friendly, helpful Couple who always make you feel welcome and nothing is too much trouble if you need help with anything. The Views from the Field are stunning so you can sit in the various seating and watch your Dogs happily play while admiring the scenery too. The Owners have thought of everything you need including a Hand Sanitiser Dispenser, Poo Bag Bin, a lost property box, a useful Stream and Well for drinking water and play and also good gate security measures so you don't have to worry about anyone opening the gate and letting your Dog's out while you are in the Field. The Field is a great size too so there's really plenty of room for even the biggest of Dogs to happily gallop about and let off some steam. There is useful Parking Space inside the Field so you can easily just drive in and then lock the gate behind you before you let your Dog run free. The Owners have thought of everything. The Website booking system is really easy to use too. It's definitely worth giving the Field an hour's trial for just £10. I'm sure you'll want to bring the Dogs back again. I've noticed when I return with Dogs they recognise where they are when we arrive and get very excited ! Cheers Sal and Al. Keep up the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe arrived 15 minutes late due to traffic on my dog's birthday, accompanied by my niece, nephew, and two friends who decided to join last minute, including one recovering from cancer surgery and eager for his first trip out of the house. We enjoyed some drinks on the bench while the dogs played freely. Before leaving, we responsibly took all our rubbish home with us, ensuring nothing was left behind.
Regrettably, we later received an angry phone call from the field owners. They erroneously chastised us for arriving too early and for putting dog waste in the toy bināsomething that categorically did not occur. They also noted our group exceeded the limit by one, a rule we were previously unaware of. Most distressingly, they criticised an incident where my friend, in urgent need due to recent bladder surgery, discreetly relieved himself in the bushes. The surgery left him with little control, and he found himself in an unavoidable predicament. He is now overwhelmed with guilt and shame, particularly because his actions inadvertently led to our dog being barred from a place he loved dearly.
This experience, along with the local reputation of one of the field's owners for harsh treatment and their practice of publicly shaming visitors on social media, only confirms my initial reservations. The quick leap to accusations without proper verification reflects poorly on their business management. Itās disheartening to have my suspicions validated in such an...

The only drawback is that changeover between customers is within your time, so that we had to be in the car for 10 to, and left the area by 5 to. We were only allowed to enter after the hour too, so roughly 45 minutes was allowed only when paying for an hour. A little disappointing, as this has let it down, perhaps the changeover could be after your paid hour, or the advertisement could say 45 minute hire only?
Re: It was 10 to as we walked back, and throwing the ball for the dogs while heading to the car ourselves (we did this as you were at the gate waving as one of our dogs is reactive too). Arguably, yes, the crossover time is necessary, but we were being summoned and waved down whilst already on our way back at 10 minutes to. Obviously I wasnāt going to be rude about this, however the endless calls, texts and seemingly constant micromanaging of our visit is a little off-putting being as we were briefed multiple times about the timings and the visit felt very supervised. All my first edit of this review was aiming to do was put across was that minimising the time we are able to actually use the field is a drawback...
