The definition of a hidden gem! This brewery is far enough off the beaten track to deter ale-trailers and wronguns, resulting in a really chilled, family friendly vibe. Alongside their own beers, Zapato serves local independent alcohol, as well as Lancashire squash. The outside seating features tables (some covered) and a large field which leads to a stream, and on a sunny day it's truly idyllic. Seating inside is comfortable with a number of picnic style seating outside and it's also pet friendly. Zapato have a varied selection of drinks to choose from, which I believe they produce the beers and ales themselves. Read moreI like it, it's conveniently placed to go on a nice dog walk and have a drink, maybe some food. However, the lack of facilities to dispose of dog waste is bizarre. A lot of people take their dogs there, it must be a huge source of their revenue, so why not allow people to dispose of dog waste? Plenty of places to put a bin and it's massively inconvenient to not be able to.
