Ravensknowle Park is approx 12 acres (5 ha) of parkland, forming the grounds of Tolson Museum. The park may be small-ish, but it's lovely to wander round, and is well-maintained. It's popular with families with young children. It's home to the striking Cloth Hall Shelter, this being the entrance and clock tower from the old Cloth Hall, moved here from Huddersfield town centre after the Cloth Hall was demolished in 1929/30. There is ample free parking on site. The museum serves refreshments, with outside seating. The Tolson Museum is also worth a visit; entry is free.

Fab park and museum Went with my grandson aged 2 He took his balance bike and the pathways were perfect - no bumps or lumps We stopped to watch crown green bowls and then went to the playground for the slide and climbing frames- all in good condition After that a picnic on the lawn and ice cream from the shop It was obvious his other grandma takes him here as he referred to it as Grandmas park and he gave me a guided tour of the museum from the skeleton pig to the carriages All in all a very memorable and enjoyable day

Welcome to Huddersfield. This is a lovely park with beautiful garden, green field, and playground next to Tolson Museum. If this place is managed even better, it may attract people to come enjoying the facilities provided. This place is perfect and nice on spring or summer to enjoy the sun.

Nice spacious grounds. There is a war memorial at the back of the park with some beautiful flowers. There's a children's play park with swings, slide, seasaw, rope swing, climbing frame, zip wire. There's an area for exercising for adults near the side of the park at the back, an area for playing football or basketball. There is also two bowling greens where you are welcome to sit and watch. The Tolson Museum is good to visit although closed Mondays - it used to be privately owned but is now open to the public free of charge. The people who work there are pleasant and really informative. There is plenty to see on a visit and as I live locally my family and I are able to just nip in on a daily basis whilst taking a walk in the grounds. Well worth a visit...

It is a small park which has Tolson Museum in the centre. It is a tidy park if rather run down because of the cuts to the council budget which is a great shame. Seating is limited as benches have gone and have not been replaced. The children's play area is also running down. It's a shame as the park also has a court and a (tiny) skate park. It has an enclosed gym area which an asinine group of dog owners have taken over, children avoid it when 'they' are there. It was a really well kept, up to date park prior to council cuts, the museum may be closed soon too. They grass is still cut and flowers planted, there is also a...
