Nice spacious grounds. There is a war memorial at the back of the park with some beautiful flowers. There's a children's play park with swings, slide, seasaw, rope swing, climbing frame, zip wire. There's an area for exercising for adults near the side of the park at the back, an area for playing football or basketball. There is also two bowling greens where you are welcome to sit and watch. The Tolson Museum is good to visit although closed Mondays - it used to be privately owned but is now open to the public free of charge. The people who work there are pleasant and really informative. There is plenty to see on a visit and as I live locally my family and I are able to just nip in on a daily basis whilst taking a walk in the grounds. Well worth a visit...

There is ample free parking on site. The museum serves refreshments, with outside seating. The Tolson Museum is also worth a visit;...
