Nice little park, nice play area for all ages and a decent cafe. Car park there too with around 20 to 30 spaces. We did some fishing, caught nothing on paste and also sweetcorn. Guy near us caught some roach and a half decent golden tench on maggot with a pole. Other guys on boilies didnt have much luck either.

A lovely little spot right in the heart of Kirkby. Just the place to de-stress as you walk around the lake, or visiting the real home of doorstop toast at the great Esposito's cafe. You will not be disappointed.

This place is lovely!!! The locals are friendly, the wildlife is amazing, the cafe is well priced - great food!!! The low rating... We visited for a day of fishing. The venue holds 19 pegs. Upon arrival, 1 x fisherman informed us that he'd taken over near all 1 x side of the venue = 6 peg, just for 1 x person... Ignored and we took up the 2 x pegs furthest away. Later on, a father and son came around, asking if we had any fish etc... Told us that the other side with 12 pegs had been taken over by 1 x lad who had 6 x rods out and was demanding that the other pegs in between were not used in case of "crossed lines" - based it on "first come first served"... As the lad was young, the father just left him... He and his son came and fished with us... End of the day, we ended up with several familes fishing with us because 80% of the venue had been taken over by 2 x lads fishing... Which is not right. Regardless of the fishing, it's a really nice park! I would however add that the water does seem low in oxygenation, the fish have zero fight in them and despite being back in the water (in a net) within a minute, they are wiped... I did hear that they were going to add more stock to the venue but that would be very bad for the...

Mill Dam Park (also known as Mill Farm) Has a lake with a little island Plenty of paths for walking or jogging. Benches to rest and contemplate. The park has a children's play area and an adults work out area with outdoor exercise machines There are also fishing pitches (don't at this moment knows who operates them, please comment) The is an Ice cream shop that serves other refreshments and food. The shop also has toilet facilities and has wheel chair accessible entrance. The paths around the play area and shop are currently being upgraded They is also a small...

One of the great hidden gems. Beautiful piece of land, atmospheric and bubbling with activity. I would say it's a must see but I wouldn't want it to get too busy!

Playground for the kids, small lake for amazing wildlife and great walking paths for the dogs.

Well maintained and, as I said, a little gem in a...
